The owner said it was his son’s bike and it has been sitting in the garage unused for about 10 years. He really did not have any further history than that. My friend bought it and planned on doing a full restoration since the bike looked in decent shape and did not appear to be missing any major components. He got as far as cleaning it up a little…….The bike does not start and has not been run. It does have spark and the carb was cleaned. We think it may have a blown base gasket which is allowing some radiator water into the cylinder. He no longer has the time to deal with it so it is being sold. The reserve is a very reasonable $400.
The exhaust pipe is in great shape with one very small dent.
The rear shock appears to have pretty good rebound.
Swingarm appears to be stable with no wear from the bushings.
Front forks are a little spongy.
Frame does not appear to be bent or twisted.
Bottom of engine looks good with no cracks or repairs.
It will need all new plastics.
Wheel hubs look very clean and solid.
Rims look good.
Spokes have very little rust.
