The motorcycles in this book were built with one objective: to win motocross championships. Whether noteworthy because of their dominance, their technical advances, or their beauty, each of the 20 bikes profiled has established its place in motocross history. From Sten Lundin’s Monark/Lito (most Grand Prix entries and most Grand Prix victories) to Torsten Hallman’s Yamaha YZ637 (first monoshock motocrosser) to Eric Geboer’s Honda RC500C (last true prototype championship-winning works bike), these are the bikes that made motocross history. We had two of these, but one sold, so this is the last one.
